Registration form

This is the registration form for the annual Society for Latin American Studies (SLAS) Conference, which will be held from 1-3 July 2024 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. It is also the registration form for the PILAS Day, which will be held on 4 July 2024.
 

Presenters as well as auditors should register using this form.

Registration was closed on 11 March for all participants. Registration will only remain open for auditors until 1 June 2024. 

SLAS membership

If you are not already a member of SLAS please consider joining via https://www.slas.org.uk/membership. SLAS members pay a discounted conference fee. 
 

Pilas day (4 July)

This year the conference includes an additional day for postgraduates organised by PILAS on 4 July.

There is no registration fee for the PILAS day (4 July).

Lunchbag on all three conference days

Within walking distance of the conference venue there are multiple options to buy lunch, but this can take a lot of time during the busy lunch period. For your convenience and to save time, we therefore encourage all attendees to include a lunchbag in their registration. In this case, we will provide you with a lunch bag on all three conference days (3x €15)(all lunches are vegetarian). 

Conference dinner

If you would like to attend the conference dinner, this is possible at an additional cost of €65,-. The dinner will take place at TolhuisTuin in Amsterdam Noord. There will be live-music and the dinner will be in BBQ style. The BBQ is fully vegetarian with some vegan options and it includes one drink per person. We would be very happy to see you there!
 

Cancellation policy 
Unpaid reservations will be cancelled by UvA Conferences and Events, 2 weeks after they have been made and/or on June 24 at the latest. UvA Conferences and Events must be notified of cancellations of registration in writing, via conference@uva.nl.
1. Cancellation on or before March 11, 2024: registration payment will be refunded (minus 75 euro administration costs)
2. Cancellation between March 12 and June 1, 2024: registration payment will be refunded (minus 150 euro administration and organization costs)
3. Cancellation after June 1, 2024: no refunds will be made. 
4. In case the organizing committee is forced to cancel the conference (due to Covid restrictions/developments), we will refund the registration payment, minus 10 euro to cover administration and transaction costs.

Privacy statement
The information we collect is only used for the purposes of organizing the event. We will not pass on your details to third parties without your consent unless this is for the purposes of organizing the event. Your details will only be stored for as long as is strictly necessary. The details will only be stored with Aanmelder.nl, a company with ISO 27001 certification. You can view and change your details at any time by clicking on the link you receive after you have registered.
