About Amalia Campos-Delgado
Amalia Campos-Delgado is Assistant Professor of Law & Society at the Van Vollenhoven Institute for Law, Governance and Society at Leiden University. She is member of Mexico’s National System of Researchers (SNI, Level I). Dr. Campos-Delgado’s research agenda is linked to the field of Border Criminology. Through a multidisciplinary perspective that brings together perspectives from Political Sociology, International Relations, and Criminology, her research focuses on the geopolitics and micropolitics of migration control. Dr. Campos-Delgado’s research has been published in Geopolitics, International Journal for Crime, Justice and Social Democracy, British Journal of Criminology, Mobilities, and Migration Studies, among other venues. With Ilse van Liempt and Joris Schapendonk, she coedited the Research Handbook on Irregular Migration (Edward Elgar Publishing).
